AaronWell, I finally got tired of Jane badgering me to write this, so I finally sat down and decided to do it. On the net, I'm known as AaronK. I'm also known as AaronK2, and AT-AaronK. Well, lately I've been known as LaggedMoofy, but I'm trying to get off of that one.

I have been involved with the On Computers radio show since somewhere around 1997. I am one of the original members of the On Computers A-Team. We are a bunch of dedicated users available to answer just about any computer question you have in either our chat rooms or our newsgroup. For those familiar with the OC timeline, this was when OC was being hosted on MSN. At some point later, we moved to dal.net, and in March of 2001, we moved to our current home on Mindprobes along with the institution of the ICUG. I currently work as the Director of MIS for a Long Island NY based Healthcare provider. Needless to say, 95% of the time, I know my stuff. (Stay quiet Jane!) I had always been fascinated with computers, so I guess I landed in the right field of work.

After OC joined up with Mindprobes, I started to join in on the games. Boy, was that a mistake. Now I enjoy playing the games, to the point where it seems my life revolves around when the games are.

I'd say the best moments I've had are meeting all the people I chat with in person. This was accomplished last year at Geek Meet 2000 and this year at Geek Meet 2001 (and of course we can't forget when Suzy herself was in NYC). Its a great feeling to actually sit down and talk to everyone that I've chatted with. Next year, Geek Meet 2002 will be held on the East Coast, so hopefully I will get to meet even more people, this time not just Geeks, but also some Mindprobes gamers and members of the ICUG. These real life meets can only extend the friendships developed in the online world and help to better the community. And to answer the question, when I play games I'm AaronK2 because I'm always in the On Computers room in mIRC as AaronK, and since there can't be 2 connections to the server with the same nickname, I had to be AaronK2.
